Ranbir Kapoor’s animal became a massive blockbuster despite facing a clash with Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur and having an ‘A’ certificate. However, the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki and Prabhas’ Salaar set back its numbers a little bit. Despite the many accusations of misogyny made on the film’s storyline, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial film emerged to be a superhit.

A success party was held recently to celebrate this feat. Speaking the the success bash on Saturday, January 6, Ranbir said, “I want to thank all of you for being here today to celebrate Animal. It is a film that a section of people had an issue with but I feel the kind of love, success and the numbers (it has received) prove that nothing goes beyond the love for a movie. Nothing goes beyond movies.”

An OTT version of the film is also scheduled to be released on Netflix soon. While the date is yet to be announced, many reports claim that the OTT release will take place in January this year. Besides Ranbir Kapoor, the film also stars Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles.
