Karan Johar recently confirmed on Koffee with Karan 8 that Aditya Roy Kapur and Ananya Panday are dating one another. While the duo have not outrightly accepted their relationship, their statements about each other and their public appearances have been enough to make the audience trust Karan’s words. Amid this speculation, Ananya recently said that she wants to have a love marriage.
Speaking to Aaj Tak, Ananya said that she is a hopeless romantic and would like to have a love marriage when the right time arises. Ananya said that her parents Chunky and Bhavana Panday’s relationship has set a high standard for her as it is built on love, trust and respect. She said that she would not accept a relationship lacking these factors.
Meanwhile, Aditya recently appeared on Karan’s show and the filmmaker asked him about his dynamic with Ananya. “Let’s address the elephant in the room,” Karan began the show by throwing the inevitable question at Aditya. “Rumour has it that you are dating Ananya Panday,” Karan told Aditya. “Karan, you said on your show, ‘Ask me no secrets and I’ll tell you no lies. I remember this,” Aditya wittily responded.
When Karan told Aditya that Ananya said on his show she was feeling “very Ananya Coy Kapur,” the Night Manager star replied, “And I am Aditya Joy Kapur as of now.” “You mean you’re joyously in a situationship?” Karan asked Aditya. “I’m quite joyous,” Aditya replied before adding that Ananya is a “pure joy” and “bliss”.
Ananya and Aditya have been rumoured to be dating for a while now. It all started after Ananya appeared on Koffee With Karan 7 last year. The actress was talking about relationships when Karan Johar dropped a hint that she and Aditya could be together. Earlier this year, Ananya and Aditya enjoyed a romantic getaway in Europe. Before that, Ananya and Aditya attended an Arctic Monkeys concert together in Madrid.
