Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda revealed he was given a stern warning by an Army Officer during the prep of Ikkis. Agastya will be playing the lead role in Sriram Raghavan directorial. For the unversed, Ikkis is a war-drama based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal who was also awarded the Param Vir Chakra. Khetarpal is the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra and his contribution to the 1971 war with Pakistan has been spoken of with awe and reverence over the years. Agastya will be seen with Dharmendra.
Agastya travelled to Pune for drilling sessions as part of the film’s prep. In a recent interview, Agastya opened up about the prep and said that an Army Officer reached out to him and gave him a solid warning. “While I was in the regiment, an officer came up to me and said, ‘Listen! (in a way harsher language) don’t mess it up. He is our hero! So don’t mess it up’. I was like oh god. I called mom and said this is a bit more intense than I expected, but it was a good experience,” he told Film Companion.
