In an earlier interview with Screen Rant, Denis Villeneuve applauded Timothee Chalamet’s transformation and dedication to Dune Part 2. The filmmaker said, “He was a boy in Part 1, and then bringing this boy to being a man, to become that charismatic dark figure, to become this power that is the Lisan al-Gaib on the screen. I thought Timothee did a fantastic job, and I was moved many times to see how he, as an actor onscreen, gets much more confident and even better on set as he became a real leading man. I felt he was much more comfortable in Part 2. He knew how to protect himself, his focus, and to become someone who brings all of the actors together in a high spirit.”
Following the success of the sequel, the team is already working on Dune 3.
Other than Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, Dune Part 2 stars Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Stellan Skarsgard, Dave Bautista, Austin Butler, Christopher Walken, Florence Pugh, Lea Seydoux and Souheila Yacoub.
