SS Rajamouli is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works primarily in Telugu cinema. He is known for his films in the epic, action and fantasy genres. He is the highest-grossing Indian director of all time and the highest-paid director in India. He has received various national and international awards, including a New York Film Critics Circle Award, a Critics’ Choice Movie Award, two Saturn Awards and four National Film Awards. Every big star waits for a chance to work with him but, do you know that an actress once rejected his film offer?
In 2010, Rajamouli directed a film titled Maryada Ramanna, starring Sunil. Initially, Trisha Krishnan was considered to play the female lead in the film. However, sources say that Sunil is a comedy actor and Trisha turned down the chance to act in this film keeping her future in mind.
After Trisha dropped out of the film Maryada Ramanna, she was replaced by actress Saloni Aswani. In this case, as expected, the film received a huge response and was a turning point for Sunil. Since then, he has acted in many films.
On the other hand, Telugu actor Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli were spotted returning to Hyderabad in April. The duo are working on SSMB29 together and their sighting at the airport has only fuelled the excitement around the film. In a video shared on X and Instagram, Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli are seen leaving the airport. It is reported that the duo was on their way back from Dubai.
Mahesh wore a black and white jacket and a grey t-shirt underneath. He paired it with jeans. He wore a cap, and sunglasses and was seen carrying a shoulder bag. Rajamouli, on the other hand, was seen wearing a brown t-shirt and a blue jacket. The duo kept their distance from the paparazzi.
Fans believe that Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli are working on making a new announcement about the film. The duo has remained tight-lipped about the plot of the film. They have not revealed the title either. However, in a recent interview, the RRR hitmaker shed some light on the status of the film.
