We've Lost a Great Leader: Ajay Devgn, Lata Mangeshkar and Other Stars Remember Pranab Mukherjee
Several film stars condoled the death of former president Pranab Mukherjee and remembered the time they had spent with him.

Former president of India Pranab Mukherjee passed away on Monday evening in a Delhi hospital where he was admitted since August 10. He passed away aged 84, weeks after undergoing an emergency surgery for a brain clot. He had also tested positive for Covid-19.

Film personalities remembered him as a great leader, and also recalled the time they had spent with him. Actress Taapsee Pannu tweeted about the time Mukherjee had attended a screening of her film Pink.

“Had the honour of meeting him, watching #Pink in his presence, followed by a very warmly hosted dinner for the entire team. Can never forget the experience, his kind words n gesture that day. You will be missed sir #PranabMukherjee,” she wrote.

Actor Varun Dhawan wrote, “RIP sir .2020 has been an extremely hard year for one and all. We have lost a great leader today. Prayers and strength to the family.”

Ajay Devgn posted, “India loses a great statesman & respected leader Folded hands My condolences to the family.

#PranabMukherjee”

Singer Lata Mangeshkar said, “Deeply saddened to hear Pranab da Mukherjee passed away. Our former President, a Bharat Ratna and a thorough gentleman. We shared a very warm and cordial relationship. Heartfelt condolences to the family.”

Tusshar Kapoor, Vishal Dadlani were also among celebs who condoled the death of the former president.
