The streets of Pondicherry recently witnessed a lot of ruckus during the filming of the highly anticipated Tamil movie, The Greatest of All Time, starring Vijay. The production team had permission to use explosives for action scenes, but the loud noises and vibrations alarmed many unsuspecting residents. The incident occurred on Old Port Road during a scene involving bombs and SUV crashes. The sudden explosions caused significant panic among locals who were unaware of the filming.

However, the crew confirmed they had all the necessary permissions and had taken safety measures for the shoot. No incidents have been reported. Previously, many filmmakers have run into trouble when shooting in public spaces. Dhanush’s Captain Miller crew was criticised for polluting the Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve. The shooting of Indian 2 stopped after a fatal accident killed three crew members. Recently, Dhanush’s “Kubera” faced issues for not having proper permission to shoot in Tirupati.

Despite this, excitement for The Greatest of All Time, starring Vijay in a highly anticipated role, remains high. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film also stars Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhry, and Mohan. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music. This might be Vijay’s last or second-to-last film as he prepares to enter full-time politics.

The ensemble cast also includes Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Jayaram in the prominent roles. Thalapathy Vijay will play a double role in the film. The shooting of the film is almost completed. The team has jetted off to the US for the filming of its climax scenes. Thalapathy Vijay has reportedly completed 50 percent of the dubbing of the film. In a latest update, the film’s music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has revealed that for the first time in Thalapathy Vijay’ decades-long career, he has sung two songs in one film. He has lent his voice to the first song of the film “GOAT,” titled “Whistle Podu,” released a month ago. Composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the song’s lyrics were written by Madhan Karky. While Vijay has sung in films before, this will be the first time he sings two songs in one movie, delighting his fans.

The shooting of GOAT is moving at a brisk pace. The makers recently announced that the VFX work of the film has been completed. Lola Visual Effects who has worked VFX portions in Hollywood films like Ant-Man, Captain America: The First Avenger and The Social Network undertook the responsibility of VFX in GOAT.
