With a budget of Rs 8 crore, Anweshippin Kandethum made an impressive opening of Rs 1.20 crore in India on its first day, according to initial reports from Sacnilk. Worldwide, it has crossed the 2 crore mark, indicating promising box office numbers in the days to come.
Set in 1993 Kerala, a time before the advent of CCTV cameras and GPS technology in India, the film revolves around the investigation of a teenager’s murder. Thomas’s character, a local police officer, embarks on a quest to unravel the truth behind the homicide, leading to the revival of an unsolved case. The movie promises bone-chilling scenes and tense moments, crafted against the backdrop of a true criminal investigation.
