TMKOC Fame Gurucharan's Reel Son Recalls Their LAST Meeting: 'We Met at Dilip Joshi's Son's Wedding'
It has been a week since TV actor Gurucharan Singh, who played the role of Sodhi in 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah', went missing.

TV actor Gurucharan Singh, who is best known for playing Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been missing for more than a week now. Police have now registered a case of kidnapping based on a complaint filed by Gurucharan’s father and several teams have been formed to trace him.

Now, the actor’s on-screen son, Samay Shah, has reacted to the news of Gurucharan going missing. “My first reaction was that of disbelief,” he told Pinkvilla. “I thought it was not an appropriate piece of news. Even when I cross-checked, I couldn’t believe the information. I called both his phone numbers but couldn’t reach out to him. It was only when I learned that a missing report had been filed, that I came to terms with the shocking news,” Samay, who plays the role of Gogi Singh Sodhi in TMKOC, added.

Recalling his last meeting with Gurucharan, Samay said, “We last met at Dilip (Joshi) sir’s son’s wedding. He looked totally fine. There wasn’t any trace of stress. I didn’t know about his financial crisis. He was fine and I feel he is fine. He will return soon.” Dilip Joshi plays the role of Jethalal Champaklal Gada in the popular sitcom.

Meanwhile, the latest update suggests that Gurucharan withdrew Rs 7000 from an ATM near Palam, Delhi, on April 24, two days after he went missing. Earlier, a CCTV footage showed him crossing the road in Palam on April 22.

Initial investigation revealed that the actor was soon to get married and had been facing a financial crisis. However, his family spoke to Indianexpress.com and said that they didn’t know anything about Gurucharan having plans to get married.

Gurucharan Singh was supposed to catch a flight from Delhi to Mumbai at 8:30 pm on April 22, but he never arrived. His phone has been off since then. His father filed a police complaint, and a case for kidnapping was registered under section 365. The police are still looking into the matter.
