Tillu Square, headlined by actor Siddu Jonnalagadda, released at the cinema halls on March 29. It has earned positive reviews from the critics and the audience. The Local 18 Telugu conducted a review of this film at the Devi Theatre, Pragathi Nagar, Nizamabad, Telangana. Viewers loved the movie. Siddu ticked all the boxes correctly when it came to entertaining the viewers. According to some of the audience, Tillu Square is one of the cases of the sequel being better than the first film DJ Tillu, which was directed by Vimal Krishna. The youth comprised a major segment of the audience. They rooted for Tillu Square for its comic scenes, dialogues, and action sequences. The audience loved every frame of the film and said that there was no loophole in any section. Others opined that it was worth waiting for this film for a long time. Mallik Ram directed this film, starring Anupama Parameswaran, Raj Tirandasu, and Yennengee.
While Tillu Square has been making waves on social media, many viewers were surprised at the fact that Anupama was not present at the pre-release event of the film. Siddu, who was present at the event, revealed the reason behind it and said, “People have talked a lot about the film’s posters. I understand we are actors and a lot of things are said about us. But having said that, I feel that when we talk about women, we need to be careful.”
Siddu Jonnalagadda also added that while he can’t force anyone to be respectful towards female actors, he can request them for the same.
Tillu Square has also drawn flak on social media after being delayed for a prolonged period. In an interview with a Telugu media portal, its producer Naga Vamsi shed light on this aspect and said that the team wanted to shoot the scenes perfectly. Vamsi said that he wanted to further explore and expand the character of Tillu. Talking more about the process, the producer said that the writer often finds it challenging to predict how the viewers would react to certain scenes.
