He also shared some tidbits about his experience in jail, saying that he has learnt how to make paper bags and how he enjoyed being a radio jockey at Yerwada Central Jail.

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, who was released from the Yerwada Central Jail today after serving three years for illegal possession of AK-47 rifle, said that finally his struggle to be a free man is over.

While addressing the media, Sanjay said, "For 23 years, I wanted to feel freedom, and finally, today is the day when I am completely free. This feeling is yet to sink in. It will take sometime to convince myself about my release." According to Dutt, all this still feels like he's out on a parole.

The 56-year-old Bollywood star also said he missed his father, late actor Sunil Dutt the most.

"If my father was alive, he would have been the happiest person. His only fight was to see his son free. And today I can say, 'Baba, I am free now," said the actor, who after coming out of jail prayed at his mother Nargis Dutt's grave. On a patriotic note, Dutt said, "I belong to this nation. I served my punishment and will now live and die here."

To address the press conference which was organized outside his residence in Mumbai, Dutt was accompanied by his wife Manyata. While speaking to mediapersons, he said, "Manayata is my best half and has always supported me. Meri suffering uske aagey bahut kam hai."

He also shared some tidbits about his experience in jail, saying that he has learnt how to make paper bags and how he enjoyed being a radio jockey at Yerwada Central Jail. The 'Munna Bhai' actor quipped, "Like a good husband, I gave the hard-earned money I made in jail to my wife."

About his biopic, Sanjay joked that filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is yet to give him his signing amount of the shot (where he is saluting the prison) taken today.

Now that he is a free man, the actor would only be focusing on his personal and professional life. "My family and my work is what I’m looking forward to", said the actor.

The actor sounded emotional while stating that he's not a terrorist and that’s why he has come clean from the Bombay blasts hearings and TADA court trial. "I've been convicted as a normal man. Even Supreme Court has stated that I’ve been convicted for Arms Act and cleared from blast hearings."

Dutt also urged the media to not relate 1993 Bomb Blast to his case because he's not been involved in it.
