Comedy-drama, My Dear Donga, helmed by BS Sarwagna Kumar and penned by Shalini Kondepudi, was released on April 19. It skipped a theatrical release and began to stream on the Aha OTT platform, which has been churning out some great flicks over the last year. Headlined by Abhinav Gomatam and Shalini Kondepudi, My Dear Donga has been receiving much appreciation and love from the audience.
Produced by Maheshwar Reddy Gojala under the banner of CAM Entertainment banner, My Dear Donga has become an OTT sensation. As per reports, the film has clocked over 60 million streaming minutes and is now a hot topic in the Telugu-speaking states. The low-budget movie has been lauded for its premise, performances, star cast and subtle humour. Abhinav Gomatam, especially has been praised the most for his subtle performance.
Now, the makers recently organised a successful meet for My Dear Donga. On this occasion, the actor took the opportunity to thank the audience for supporting the film. “Thank you to the audience for supporting this movie so much. Thanks to the media for bringing our film so well to the audience. Production, actors, Aha.. these three teams made this movie with good coordination.”He also congratulated writer-actress Shalini for writing the first film so well.
At the meet, producer Maheshwar Reddy Gojala said, “We were confident in My Dear Donga, right from the beginning. Our belief came true. All those who have seen the movie are appreciating it and enjoying it, especially Abhinav Gomatam’s performance.” He further added that the film has been getting a good response from the industry as well. He urged people to watch the film if they haven’t already and spread positivity.
Actor Nikhil Gajula shared, “This is my first release. The response to the film has been very gratifying.” He further expressed his pleasure in working with Abhinav Gomatam and Shalini Kondepudi. Actor Snehal also expressed his happiness at the response the film has been getting and the deserved attention it is getting.
