Tamil Actress Kousalya's Pics From Karthika Nair's Wedding In 2023 Viral
Karthika Nair got married to Rohit Menon in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Kousalya was one of the prominent actresses in the 90’s Tamil cinema and garnered accolades with several films, i.e.- Pooveli (1998), Lelam (1997) etc. She stayed away from the limelight for a considerable time but then made an appearance at actress Radha’s daughter Karthika Nair’s wedding in 2023.

Karthika had her wedding with Rohit Menon in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Kousalya looked gorgeous in a yellow suit which she paired with a green dupatta. Accessorising her look with bangles, rings and other statement earrings, the 45-year-old actress was a sight to behold. She posed for the cameras with Chiranjeevi Konidela, his wife Surekha Konidela and other important dignitaries.

Kousalya was born in Bengaluru. Her father, Shivashankar Siddalingappa, a Bangalorean, worked as a depot manager at Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation. The actress’s mother, with a mixed Marathi and Kannada background, was born and raised in Sri Lanka.

Kousalya, also known as Nandini, commenced her journey in the entertainment industry as a model. She made her debut with the 1996 Malayalam film April 19, written and directed by Balachandra Menon. The actress later entered Tamil cinema with her first film, Kaalamellam Kadhal Vaazhga alongside Murali. Kausalya subsequently found success in the Tamil film industry, delivering applause-worthy performances in films such as Nerukku Ner, Priyamudan, Sollamale, Pooveli, Vaanathaippola, and Kutty.

Having acted in more than 30 films in Tamil and Malayalam, Kousalya earned critical acclaim, including a Filmfare Award for Best Actress- Tamil for her role in Pooveli. Notably, she was recognised for her depiction of saree-clad and conservative characters. Transitioning to character roles by the mid-2000s, the Pooveli actress took on supporting roles in films like Thirumalai and Santosh Subramaniam. Besides these projects, she entered the television domain with the series Manaivi, which aired 436 episodes on Sun TV.

In 2004, Kousalya made a comeback as a lead actress; however, several of her films faced delays. Films like Thiagarajan’s Police with Prashanth, Manadhil with Karthik, Vendumadi Nee Enakku, and Rosappoo Chinna Rosappoo with Sathyaraj experienced successive setbacks. After a long wait of 6 years, Kausalya returned to the Tamil film industry with the action film Poojai.
