Suraj Venjaramoodu has entertained the audience with his acting prowess in predominantly Malayalam films like Jana Gana Mana, Driving Licence, etc. He is now looking forward to his upcoming film titled Mura directed by Muhammed Musthafa. Musthafa has shared Mura’s release date, ie- October 18 with a poster on Instagram. The poster shows a black surface with blood and swords, hinting towards an intriguing action-packed gangster drama. Scripted by Suresh Babu, this film stars Kani Kusruti, Krish Hassan, Hridhu Haroon, Maala Parvathi and others. Riya Shibu has produced this film with her banner HR Pictures. Fazil Nazer has handled the cinematography while Chaman Chakko is in charge of the editing. Christy Joby has scored the music while PC Stunts has directed the action sequences.

The Mura’s makers have also unveiled the film’s teaser on YouTube. The teaser shows Suraj Venjaramoodu’s character orchestrating a theft of black money by hiring a gang of teenagers. This money is hidden at a specific location. These teenagers are willing to take any risk, even risking their lives by fighting another gang to steal the cash as demanded by Venjaramoodu’s character. Whether they succeed or not forms the core theme of Mura’s storyline. The teaser has garnered more than 2 million views and counting.
Social media users loved the teaser and heaped appreciation for the glimpse of background score, storytelling, Muhammed Musthafa’s direction and many other aspects. Muhammed made his directorial debut with the 2020 film Kappela. Actors Anna Ben, Roshan Mathew and Sreenath Bhasi played key roles in this film. Kappela earned Anna and Musthafa the Best Actress Award and the Best Debut Director Award respectively at the 51st Kerala State Film Awards. Anees Nadodi, the film’s production designer was honoured at the 68th National Film Awards.
