Sudhanshu Pandey left everyone shocked when he announced on Wednesday (August 29) that he has finally left Anupamaa. In the popular show, Pandey used to play the role of Vanraj Shah, who was the first husband of Rupali Ganguly’s Anupama. While the actor did not share the reason for quitting Anupamaa, everyone is now left wondering if it is due to some rift with the show’s maker – Rajan Shahi.
Soon after Sudhanshu Pandey’s big announcement, netizens noticed that he has stopped following Rajan Shahi on Instagram. However, it should be noted that he continues to follow Shahi’s production house, Directors Kut Production. Notably, Rajan Shahi is also not following Sudhanshu on Instagram. The director follows only 21 people on his Instagram handle including Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna. It remains unclear if Rajan Shahi used to follow Sudhanshu earlier or not.
In 2022, reports of an alleged rift between Sudhanshu Pandey and Rupali Ganguly also made headlines. It was said that the two actors were not on talking terms. However, later, in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Sudhanshu rubbished such reports.
“My reaction is, ‘Why don’t you come to the sets and watch?’ Simple as that. You’ll know what happens on the sets. It’s absolute fun all the time. We are always running around, poking fun at each other, cracking jokes. It’s a very childlike atmosphere on the sets. We are always having fun nonstop. When you read something about rifts and fights, it’s good for entertainment. They say they have heard a rumour, I say when you hear a rumour, that will be a rumour because it’s only a rumour. A rumour is an answer to your question itself,” he told us.
Anupamaa is one of the most popular television shows that has been ruling the TRP charts for years. It also stars Gaurav Khanna as Anuj Kapadia, Alpana Buch as Baa and Nidhi Shah as Kinjal among others. Previously, Paras Kalnawat and Aashish Mehrotra also left the show.
