Talking about Manoj Jarange Patil, he hails from the Mantori Village in the Beed district of Maharashtra. He initially joined the Maratha reservation movement with the Indian National Congress 15 years ago and participated in several marches and protests. He also sold 2.5 acres of agricultural land out of his four acres to meet his daily needs.

Following the Supreme Court’s 2021 decision to invalidate the Maratha reservation quota, Jarange-Patil protested across the state, including a three-month agitation in Sasht-Pimpalgaon in Jalna district, where hundreds of people joined him.

He gathered all the eyeballs during a hunger strike in September last year in Ataravali-Sarate village.
