Stranger Things is gearing up for its fifth and final season, set to hit Netflix in 2025. As fans eagerly wait, the cast has often shared glimpses of their behind-the-scenes experiences and camaraderie among them. Recently, Sadie Sink, who plays Max Mayfield, attended the Power of Young Hollywood event and spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the shows finale. The actress couldn’t believe that the series is coming to an end. Fans are still in suspense about Max’ fate, as she was left blind and in a coma after being controlled by Vecna. While Sadie didn’t spill any details about the future of Max and plot, she shared that the final season’s set is filled with “super positive” energy and everybody is just valuing the moment.
The actress said, “It’s been hectic shooting right now. I think it’s been super positive because it’s the last season. We really want to savour every moment and just enjoy the time that we have together and deliver a season that everyone’s been kind of waiting for.”
Sadie Sink joined Stranger Things in Season 2 at the age of 14. Her character became crucial in Season 4 when the main villain, Vecna, targets her, while the rest of the cast spends the season trying to save her. Although they succeed in preventing her death, Max is still in critical state.
In a past interview with Variety, the actress admitted that she was surprised by how much people cared about her character’s journey. She initially didn’t realize Max’s popularity, as Sink isn’t very active on social media. Her older brother had to show her how frequently Max appeared on his TikTok feed to prove that people were interested in her character. Despite this, Sink still fully can’t understand the huge impact her character has made.
Sadie Sink said, “I think I’m definitely numb to a lot of things now, which is a good thing. I think it keeps you stable.”
Meanwhile, Stranger Things also stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, Matthew Modine, Noah Schnapp, Joe Keery, Dacre Montgomery, Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco and Joseph Quinn.
