Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt’s action-comedy film, The Fall Guy, will hit theatres on May 3. However, the makers have more to offer. Ahead of the film’s release, Universal Pictures Content Group has released the premium documentary series Action today, April 26. The docuseries includes behind-the-scenes footage from The Fall Guy. Produced by Leitch and Kelly McCormick, the docuseries also offers a glimpse of the real lives of Hollywood’s top stunt performers.

According to the official synopsis, Leitch and McCormick’s 87North stunt team takes center stage in Action “revealing the captivating stories of ordinary individuals who are drawn to the electrifying world of action sports, martial arts, motocross and more.” The series is expected to take the audiences to the high-octane and often perilous world of film stunts and showcase how the daredevils balance their professional passion while also meeting the demands of everyday life.

It follows Hollywood’s biggest movie sets, allowing audiences to take a closer look at the lives of stunt doubles for stars like Gosling and David Harbour. Adding to the excitement, Keanu Reeves, known for The Matrix and the John Wick films, will also feature in the series. A glimpse of the trailer suggests that the actor will be seen underlining the much-needed recognition for the real-life action heroes in the industry.

Through the docuseries Action, audiences will be allowed to access the making of The Fall Guy. Directed by David Leitch, the film is based on the ’80s TV series starring Lee Majors. Speaking of the storyline, it revolves around a blockbuster stuntman (Gosling) as he tries to solve a mystery behind a missing movie star. Along with this, he is also trying to win back his ladylove, Jody Moreno. The Fall Guy is scheduled for its theatrical release on May 3.

Coming back to Action, Josh Oreck serves as the executive producer for the docuseries. Directed by Bridger Nielson, it is available to watch on Peacock.
