Actor Mahesh is two years younger than Namrata.
The couple has two children, son Gautam Krishna and daughter Sitara.

Namrata is the granddaughter of famous Marathi actress Meenakshi Shirodkar and sister of Shilpa Shirodkar.
Namrata’s debut film was the movie 'Purab Ki Laila Pachhim Ki Chhaila' with Akshay Kumar and Sunil Shetty in the lead and music by Nadeem Shravan, this movie was never released.
