'My Best Wishes To The Team': Asha Bhosle Ahead Of Swargandharva Sudhir Phadke's Release

Swargandharva Sudhir Phadke is an upcoming musical biographical film based on Marathi Music director and Singer Sudhir Phadke. Set to release on May 1, the film has garnered significant attention. Recently, Asha Bhosle extended her best wishes to the film Swargandharva Sudhir Phadke.

Starring Avinash Narkar, Vibhawari Deshpande and Mrunmayee Deshpande, the film is directed by Yogesh Deshpande. Other actors including Sukhada Khandkekar, Adish Vaidya, Sharad Ponkshe, Bhushan Telang and Niranjan Parandkar will also be seen in crucial roles. Produced by Yogesh Deshpande and Saurabh Gadgil under the banner of ReDefine Productions, the music of the film is composed by Sudhir Phadke.

Asha Bhosle recently posted a video where she is seen praising Sudhir Phadke. In the video, she is seen reminiscing her experiences with Sudhir Phadke, fondly known as Babuji. Asha said, “Babuji was a versatile and talented artist. One interesting story from Ka Re Durava is when Babuji suggested that I use expressive gestures while singing the line Ka Re Durava".

She mentioned, “I used to laugh while singing with such gestures. I worried people might think I’m crazy if I did that. But he reassured me. I deeply respect Babuji; he is my Guru. A movie on his life story is going to be released soon and here I am sending my best wishes and blessings to the whole team of the film."

Asha Bhosle and Sudhir Phadke have worked together on several songs, including Phite Andharache Jaale (Duet) and Swapnat Rangle Mi, Phite Andharache Jaale, Swapnat Rangle Mi, Dhund Ekant Ha and Tu Najarene Ho Mhatle.

Bhosle has performed in more than 12,000 songs so far. Her debut song, Chala Chala Nav Bala, was sung in the 1943 Marathi film Majha Bal, while her first Hindi song, Saawan Aaya, was featured in the 1948 film Chunariya. In 2008, the Government of India awarded her with the Padma Vibhushan, the country’s second-highest civilian honour.

Meanwhile, Sudhir Phadke is known for songs like Vithu Mauli Tu Mauli Jagachi, Ekach Hya Janmi Janu, Sang Tu Majhach Na, Ekati Tujhyavin Rahu Kashi and Jo To Aapapla Yethe. The singer passed away on July 29, 2002.
