Mammootty returns to the silver screen with his latest Malayalam horror thriller Bramayugam. The film has garnered significant praise from both audiences and critics alike for its captivating plot and the outstanding performances delivered by the ensemble cast. Following its success in Malayalam, Bramayugam is now poised for release in Telugu.

The Telugu version of Bramayugam is set to hit theatres on February 23. Regarding the film’s box office performance, it amassed approximately Rs 1.65 crore on its fifth day (Monday) based on preliminary estimates. On its fifth day, the film garnered Rs 3.85 crore, bringing its total collection to Rs 14.40 crore.

The weekend saw a tremendous response to the film in Kerala, where it raked in over Rs 12 crore in revenue alone. Bramayugam had an impressive opening day, earning Rs 2.05 crore, indicating a promising start.

Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, Bramayugam has been released in five languages: Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Alongside Mammootty, the film features Amalda Liz, Arjun Ashokan, and Sidharth Bharathan in significant roles.

On the professional front, Mammootty’s recent appearances include Yatra 2 and Kaathal The Core, where he starred alongside Jyothika. During the promotion of Kaathal The Core, Mammootty lauded the film as revolutionary, stating, “Its subject matter is quite groundbreaking. Despite focusing on a single household within a small locality, the narrative carries immense significance.” He also commended Jyothika, attributing her simplicity to her husband, Suriya, remarking, “Suriya is exceptionally down-to-earth. His entire family exudes humility. Having lived with them for 16 years, I believe it’s ingrained in us. It’s just who we are.”

Directed by Jeo Baby and written by Adarsh Sukumaran and Paulson Skaria, the film also features Joji John, Muthumani, Chinnu Chandni, Sudhi Kozhikode, Alex Alister, Kalabhavan Haneef, Anagha Maya Ravi, and Josey Sijo in key roles. Mammootty’s upcoming project, Turbo, co-stars Raj B Shetty and Sunil in significant roles. The film is slated for release in 2024.
