One gesture by the makers of an upcoming Malayali film Anbodu Kanmani is garnering attention. The makers took the decision to gift a house they made for filming to a family in need. Anbodu Kanmani was shot in Thalassery, Kerala, on the property of a family who was struggling financially. The makers of the film constructed a house at the place; after seeing the family’s condition, they decided to gift the house to that family. According to reports, it was constructed after taking the permission of the said family. The makers chose to build a new house for the family, instead of just spending unthinkable money on a new set. Prominent Malayali star and former BJP MP Suresh Gopi handed over the keys of the house to the family.
The producer of the film, Vipin Pavithran said in an interview, “Initially, we decided to set up the house, but after filming, we came to the decision to build a new house that would be habitable as the house would become unusable after filming.” He continued, “Creative Fish (Production banner) has been able to make the dream of owning a house for a disadvantaged family come true.”
