Kannada film Ranga SSLC, starring Kiccha Sudeep in the lead, has completed 20 years. The film was released on April 23, 2004. Even now, the characters in this film are etched in the minds of many film lovers. People still talk about the one character from the film named Japan. Nagashekar played this very special role. He is now a hero, producer and director. Nagashekar still remembers Kichcha Sudeep, who gave him a chance in this film. Speaking to News18 Kannada Digital, Nagashekar exclusively talks about this. “The role of Japan in Ranga SSLC is a special role in my life. Had Kiccha Sudeep not been given this role then, perhaps it would not have been possible to develop to such a great extent. This film can be called a commercial hit role. After this role, many films of mine clicked. I must say that this Japan role took me to the level of actor Sharan.”
After Nagashekar completed his engineering degree, he was engaged in theatre plays. Kiccha Sudeep saw his performances in one such play and remembered him. When Ranga SSLC role came to him, the first name Kiccha Sudeep suggested was none other than Nagasekhar. In Ranga SSLC, Japan was seen opposite Ranga’s lead actor, Kiccha Sudeep himself. That’s why Nagasekhar, who has spent a lot of time with Kiccha Sudeep, has gradually developed a good friendship.
Nagashekar is currently busy with the filming of Sanju Weds Geetha 2. In another interview with News18 Kannada Digital, he shared insights into the film. He said that shooting of 75 percent of the film is complete, and the rest is under production. Nagashekar stated that 17 days of work are left, which will take place at a farm in Kunigal. Nagashekar added that he was very raw when he directed Sanju Weds Geetha’s first part, which was released in 2011. He also mentioned that the film will have six songs, out of which, three have been shot in foreign locations. Sanju Weds Geetha 2 will be Nagasekhar’s 11th movie.
