In a shocking revelation, Kevin Jonas shared that he was diagnosed with skin cancer after discovering a malignant mole on his forehead. On Tuesday, June 11, the Jonas Brothers member took to Instagram and shared the news with his fans. “So today, I am getting a basal-cell carcinoma removed from my head,” Kevin says in the video clip. He also moves the camera to show the mole, further adding that he will undergo surgery.
Basal Cell Carcinoma is a kind of skin cancer that begins in the lower part of the epidermis and can appear as a small white or flesh-coloured bump that grows slowly and can also bleed, states the National Cancer Institute.
In the video, Kevin, while showing a small mole on his head, explains, “Yes, that is a actual little skin cancer guy that just started to grow. And now, I have to get surgery to remove it. So, here we go.” Post-surgery, while he made sure to keep the operated area covered, his expressions were enough to describe what was under the bandages. “All right, I’m all done. Now it’s time to heal and head home,” said the Waffle House singer. Kevin also urged his fans to get any such strange moles checked.
