In 2021, Farhan Akhtar announced the eagerly awaited film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’, featuring Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, and Katrina Kaif. Initially set to begin production last year, the film was postponed as Akhtar shifted focus to other projects, including ‘Don 3’. However, recent developments suggest that Akhtar and his production company, Excel Entertainment, are exploring the possibility of reviving the film.

‘Jee Le Zaraa’ is seen as a key project for Excel Entertainment, which aims to complete a trilogy of slice-of-life friendship films, following the success of ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. Originally announced as an all-female travel film, ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ has faced rumours that Priyanka and Katrina might no longer be part of the project.
