Kartik Aaryan recently appeared on Kapil Sharma’s show and recalled his struggling days. He mentioned how he used to attend award shows in autos till he bought a third-hand car. However, the car proved to be bothersome as it would leak during monsoons and the driver’s side door wouldn’t open.
When asked about the story behind his third-hand car, Kartik said, “The person from whom I bought that car had already purchased it second-hand. So, for me, it was a third-hand car.” Kartik said he bought the car to attend red carpet events and award shows.
“There are these red carpet events and award shows, so I used to travel by auto for them. Somehow, I managed to buy this third-hand car. But this car started to bother me more because the door of the driver’s seat would not open,” Kartik said.
He added, “So, when I used to reach the event, I would have to stop the valet from opening the driver’s door, else it would break open. Then I would jump to the other side in my coat and come out and instruct the valet to go from the passenger’s side to the driver’s seat and park the car.” “Whenever it rained, there used to be seepage in the car. I had to dodge the raindrops while driving. It was a unique problem,” Kartik added.
Now, Kartik has owned a range of swanky cars including a McLaren GT, a Lamborghini Urus Capsule, and a Range Rover SV. Bhushan Kumar had gifted Kartik a McLaren GT supercar after the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in 2022.
However, Kartik later revealed that he doesn’t drive the car around much. The luxurious car is said to be worth nearly Rs 5 crore. Earlier, while speaking to the Lallantop, he said, “I drive my other car. I have hardly driven the McLaren. It was in the garage for a long time, so rats chewed the mat, which cost me a lot. I had to pay lakhs of rupees to fix the mat.”
Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan is basking in the success of his latest release, Chandu Champion. The film is directed by Kabir Khan and is performing well at the box office.
