Taking to Instagram on Independence Day, Kapil shared a teaser photo featuring a bouquet and a sneak peek of the show’s cast, along with an exciting announcement: “The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2 is on the way. Theme from the Netflix series, The Great India…”
This news follows months of speculation after Netflix India hinted at a second season back in June. The streaming giant had shared a video on social media highlighting memorable moments from season one, subtly dropping clues that the show would return “sooner than you think.” The video concluded with the message: “It will shower entertainment again because The Great Indian Kapil Show’s season 2 will be back in just a few months! Binge season 1 while you wait for the new season!”
The first season, which premiered on March 30, captivated audiences across 12 episodes, featuring a star-studded lineup including Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Sunny Deol, Mary Kom, and more. Reflecting on the success of the inaugural season, Kapil expressed his gratitude, stating, “This has been a wonderful first season of The Great Indian Kapil Show. There have been many firsts and we will cherish those. We are grateful for all the love pouring from across the globe.”
