Amulya is one of the prominent actresses in the Kannada entertainment industry. She started her career as a child artist and worked in movies like Chandu, Shravani Subramanya, Gajakesari and others. Amulya was on a sabbatical post her marriage and embracing motherhood.
The actress, however, is now reportedly planning to make a comeback. As per reports, she will act in the film Karavali directed by Gurudatha Ganiga. Reportedly, she will play the female lead opposite actor Prajwal Devaraj. As per reports, Director Ganiga found Amulya the perfect actress to fit in the bill for Karavali’s female lead. The official announcement will also reportedly be made regarding Amulya’s role soon.
Amulya has talked about her comeback in the films in an interview with the Times of India. She said,” I hadn’t taken a proper break in years since my debut. I started too young and was working on multiple projects. I missed out on a lot! So, I used this break to travel and explore the world. I also watched my children grow up. Now, I am ready for a comeback. I am okay with doing one film in five years which is why I am taking my own time to finalise the projects.”
Amulya married R Jagadish on May 12, 2017. The ceremony was held at Adichunchanagiri Mutt and they tied the knot between noon and 12.30 pm. Prominent names from the Kannada cinema attended the sangeet ceremony. The wedding was confined to friends and close relatives of the couple. A grand reception was also organised on May 16, which will see the presence of the bigwigs from cinema and politicians as well.
Amulya embraced parenthood with twin boys in March 2022. Their names, Atharv and Adhaav, were announced at an event in Bengaluru on November 10. The event was attended by Amulya’s colleagues, close family members and friends.
Amulya’s name finds notable mention in the Filmfare Awards South under the best actress category for the film Shravani Subramanya. She also won the South Indian International Movie Award for this film under the Best Actress: critics category.
