Ishaan Khatter Reveals He Lived In Brother Shahid Kapoor’s Apartment For 10 Years

Ishaan Khatter made his much-anticipated Hollywood debut with the series, The Perfect Couple. The Netflix series is based on Elin Hilderbrand’s 2018 novel of the same name. Recently, in his latest interview, Ishaan Khatter who plays the role of Shooter Dival in the show, opened up about his career progression and personal life. The actor revealed that he lived in an apartment with his mother, Neliima Azeem, for 10 years, which his brother Shahid Kapoor had purchased.

During a conversation with The Dirty Magazine, Ishaan opened up about moving in and out of apartments recently. He stated that he changed apartments 17 times so far and this was his first time alone. He recalled his teenage years when he lived with his mother and stated, “When I was 16, we moved to Cozy Apartments in Yari Road, which my brother was able to buy for us, so my mom and I lived there for 10 years. The lockdowns happened in that house and it was a small place, like apartments in Bombay are. It was my mom, me, two other senior people and two cats in there. It had started feeling like a cage to me.” Ishaan is the son of Rajesh Khattar and Neliima Azeem.

On being asked if he enjoys having the entire house to himself now, Ishaan stated, “I miss company sometimes, but for the first time in my life, I like being at home.”

Meanwhile, fans have praised Ishaan’s performance as the groom’s best friend in The Perfect Couple. In an interview with HeyUGuys, Ishaan Khatter shared his insight about the series’ plot. He stated, “There is a whole lot of drama in the show, despite the humour and entertainment. I think that’s what makes it totally unpredictable. There was a whole lot of enjoyment every day of work, like, you never knew what to expect, and all of it was in Susanna’s head. So what you see is her overlapping vision.”

The story revolves around the wedding of Amelia and Benji in a picturesque location of Nantucket, but a mysterious death disrupts plans and turns everyone, including family and friends, into a suspect. It was released on September 5 and also stars Nicole Kidman, Liev Schreiber, Dakota Fanning, and Eve Hewson.
