Actor and filmmaker Justin Theroux and actress Nicole Brydon Bloom are set to get married soon. Theroux has already proposed to Bloom. The actor reportedly popped the big question while the couple was in Italy for the Venice Film Festival, where Theroux’s latest film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was premiering. Nicole Brydon Bloom didn’t hold back in showing off her stunning engagement ring on the red carpet.
The ring, as per the reports, is crafted by Stephanie Gottlieb Fine Jewelry and is a custom piece featuring a flawless, 4-carat emerald-cut diamond set in platinum with an 18-carat yellow gold inlay. Adding a personal touch, the band also contains the couple’s birthstones.
Theroux, 53, and Bloom, 30, were first spotted with each other in public in February last year during a Netflix event at the New York City social club Zero Bond. They were reportedly seen mingling with friends, including Tan France and actress Louisa Jacobson, Bloom’s co-star from HBO’s The Gilded Age.
Their relationship gained attention when they were spotted sharing a kiss during a romantic dinner at Altro Paradiso in Manhattan in August 2023. Just a few months later, in October, they were again photographed together, this time leaving a gym in New York City, informs People.
In an interview with Esquire conducted a few months before their first public date night, Theroux talked about his preference for privacy in his romantic life. The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star expressed, “It’s much more fun not being in a public relationship.” He further added, “There’s something to, once you’re out of that, where I want all of my relationships to exist within the four walls of whatever room we’re in.”
Before making their red carpet debut as a couple at Vanity Fair’s Oscars Party in March, Theroux had accompanied Bloom to her twin sister’s wedding in December 2023. The couple also attended the wedding of Naomi Watts and Billy Crudup in Mexico City in June 2024, reports People.
Theroux, who was previously married to Jennifer Aniston from 2015 until their divorce in 2018, has been a recurring presence on Bloom’s social media since their first mirror selfie at her sister’s wedding in December 2023.
Ahead of the engagement announcement, the couple was enjoying some travel time together, as seen in photos Nicole Brydon Bloom shared on her Instagram Stories. On the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival premiere of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice on August 28, Theroux mentioned to People that they planned on “vacationing a little” while attending the event.
