Directed by Mahendran, the actor was seen in a supporting role where he played the sidekick of the villain. Some of his notable films include Kizhakku Vasal, Idhayam, Kannedhirey Thondrinal, and Chinna Pulla.
He made his directorial debut with the film Unakkaga Mattum. His second directorial project, Kaanal Neer, marked the debut of JK Rithesh and Manisha Chatterjee as lead actors. Some of his other notable projects include Uyire Unakkaga, Paaru Paaru Pattanam Paaru, Valayal Satham, Chinna Poove Mella Pesu, Vaigasi Poranthachu, Kanave Kalayadhe, Oruvar Meethu Iruvar Sainthu
Chinni Jayanth is also a renowned television host. He has hosted several successful shows like Sagalai Vs Ragalai, Kalakka Povathu Yaar, and Asathapovathu Yaaru on Sun TV in Chennai. Additionally, he’s been honoured with the Kalaimamani Award by the Government of Tamil Nadu for his outstanding contributions to cinema. He received this prestigious award from the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu at a grand event held at Valluvar Kottam.
