This actress is Jyothika Saravanan, aka Jyothika, an Indian actress and producer who is a prominent face in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi cinema. Her tremendous acting skills were recognised and she was honoured with several accolades including the National Film Award, four Filmfare Awards South, six Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and the Kalaimamani Award. The prolific star is a bankable actress from South India who can be seen posing with the Chandni star, Sridevi.

Actress Jyothika marked her Bollywood debut in acting with the 1997 Hindi film, Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, helmed by Priyadarshan. She soon got the opportunity to mark her debut in the Tamil industry with her maiden film Vaali in 1999. In 2003, she was roped in opposite Chiranjeevi for her debut Telugu film Tagore. Soon, she delivered a string of successes with films like Kushi, Dumm Dumm Dumm, Poovellam Un Vasam, Kaakha Kaakha, Perazhagan, Chandramukhi and Mozhi to name a few.

In 2006, right at the peak of her career, Jyothika left the industry and married her long-time beau and Tamil actor Suriya. In 2015, she made a comeback with 35 Vayadhinile. After its success, she began signing up for films with women-centric roles like Magalir Mattum, Naachiyaar, Kaatrin Mozhi, Raatchasi, and Ponmagal Vandhal.

In 2023, she won the hearts of the audience with Kaathal- The Core, opposite Mammootty. Recently, she was seen in Shaitaan alongside Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan. Her latest film Srikanth: Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhen Kholne with Rajkummar Rao and Alaya F was released in theaters on May 10. Jyothika also has DabbaCartel with Shabana Azmi in the pipeline.
