The year 2024 started on a glorious note for Malayalam cinema. Two films, Manjummel Boys and Premalu, created wonders at the box office. Premalu, a romantic comedy helmed by Girish AD and featuring prominent performances by Naslen K Gafoor and Mamitha Baiju, debuted in theatres on February 9. It had a worldwide release on February 15. Both reviewers and viewers gave the movie favourable reviews. The rom-com’s lightheartedness is drawing large numbers of audiences to theatres. Premalu is certainly a film which can be watched multiple times. This has been proved by one fan, who watched it a record 14 times since its release. Bhavana Studios, which produced the film, has given the fan a return gift for showering her love towards the movie.
The fan, who goes by the name of Arya on Instagram, had commented on the official handle of the production company, saying that she had watched Premalu 14 times. She also said that she would watch it again when it releases in Telugu as planned. The representatives of Bhavana Studios responded with words of gratitude and asked her to send them her residential details. What awaited Arya was an immensely pleasant surprise as the company gifted her a Special Unlimited Pass, which they called Top Fan Pass. A representative of the company himself visited Arya’s home in Kollam and handed over the pass to her.
With the pass, Arya will be able to watch the film at any theatre she wants, for an unlimited number of times. Arya’s count has now gone up to 17 and she plans to watch even more. Premalu is still going strong at the box office and the movie is almost on the verge of crossing the Rs 90 crore mark.
