Divyanka Tripathi Gets Trolled For Dancing In Terrific Mumbai Rains, Netizens Call Her 'Insensitive'

Recent rains in Mumbai created havoc in the city and injured many. On Thursday, actress Divyanka Tripathi took to her Instagram handle and dropped a video in which she was seen dancing in the Mumbai rain with her husband, Vivek Dahiya. The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress mentioned that the video was recorded before she got to know that the same rains created chaos in the city.

In the caption of her post, Divyanka talked about how the same events can be very different for different people. “This storm unfortunately turned out to be devastating for Mumbai, we discovered later. Here’s a glimpse of prettier side of winds that we experienced. This natural phenomenon reminds us that how the same event can have extremely contrasting effects on different individuals,” she wrote. However, a few social media users missed out on Divyanka’s caption and trolled the actress for dancing in the Mumbai rains. “Ameeron ke liye maza hai or gareeb ke liye saza hai,” one of the users wrote. Another called her “insensitive”.

Divyanka Tripathi made her television debut in 2006 with the drama Banoo Main Teri Dulhann. She is currently seen in ‘Adrishyam’ as Inspector Parvati Sehgal. It also features Eijaz Khan as Ravi Verma.

Recently, Divyanka also fell from a height on the sets of her show due to which she broke both her forearms. She underwent surgery and was hospitalised for a few days. After getting discharged from the hospital, Divyanka shared her health update via a video message and said, “Hello, my surgery is done and I am getting discharged from the hospital. Our science has progressed a lot. My doctor was very happy with the recovery that I’m having now. Honestly, I have already started with my physio as I want to bounce back.”

Meanwhile, just a few days back, Bigg Boss 17 fame actress Mannara Chopra also received backlash for sharing a sensual dance video in which she was seen enjoying the rain. Mannara shared the clip on her Instagram handle and was seen dancing on her balcony. Sporting a tank top with a pair of pants, she was seen truly embracing the first rains of Mumbai this year. However, the video did not go down well with many social media users. Several netizens pointed out that it was insensitive, especially since the rains wrecked havoc in the city.
