Amitabh Bachchan’s candid conversations with Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 contestants are loved by all. However, recently, the Bollywood superstar was left fumbling as a contestant asked him about his college days. On Wednesday, Sony TV dropped a promo in which a contestant asked Big B if used to visit girls’ colleges like Lady Shri Ram College (LSR), Gargi, Kamala Nehru College during his student days. Amitabh Bachchan studied at Delhi University’s north campus’ Kirori Mal College, which is also very nearby to LSR.
“Aap beech beech mein south campus bhi aate the kya? LSR, Gargi, Kamala Nehru ke aas paas (Did you visit south campus colleges like Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Kamala Nehru College and others)?” the contestant asked.
To this, Amitabh Bachchan jokingly replied, “Dekhiye devi ji ki kya hai ki ab hum shadi-shuda ho gaye hai, aur nati-pota bhi ho gaye hai. Ab woh zamana jo tha wo jawani ka zamana tha, hai na? Uske bare mein aapko kya bataye? Abhi batane se humari poori pole khul jayegi. Aur yeh sarwajanik karyakaram hai, log thoda sa phir sochenge ‘Acha aisa tha woh?’ Humara impression kharab ho jayega (I am now married and have grandkids too. Those were the days of my youth, if I share all of this now, my image will suffer as this is a family show. People will pass comments about me).”
Last week, Big B was also left laughing out loud after one of the contestants asked if Jaya Bachchan also complains about him not spending time with her since he is continuously shooting for KBC. Reacting to this, Amitabh Bachchan had said, “Oho kya bataye? Yeh joh parivarik prashn puch lete hai na log yaha aake..usmei humko bada kasht hota hai (What should I say? It gets difficult for me to answer a question, related to my family).”
Amitabh Bachchan has been the host of KBC since its inception in 2000, except for the third season, which was hosted by superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Season 16 of the show airs on Sony TV.
