Alia Bhatt Wraps Up Jigra With Vedang Raina, Drops Candid Pics From The Set; See Viral Post

Alia Bhatt has been on a roll with back to back commercial as well as critical success. From Gangubai Kathiawad to Darlings, Brahmastra to Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, the actress has also managed to create a space for herself amid the international audience with ‘Heart Of Stone’. The actress who is also enjoying motherhood with her daughter Raha has finally wrapped one of the most awaited films titled Jigra with Vedang Raina.

On Thursday, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram handle and shared some candid pictures post wrap, also featuring her co-star Vedang Raina. In the snaps, the duo can be seen laughing and posing together with the cityscape and riverfront in the backdrop, during the din of dusk. In another picture, Vedang Raina can also be seen hiding his face. Alia Bhatt penned the caption, “jigra oh… abki teri baari ho

In Jigra. Alia is not just playing the lead but also producing it. In a previous interview, Alia opened up about venturing into production and shared that it is ‘exciting and overwhelming’ at the same time.

“I believe stories are everywhere, and stories are everything! I turned producer with Eternal Sunshine to tell some of these stories, ones that evoke emotions and leave an impact. Our first production, Darlings, got so much love that it was exciting and overwhelming at the same time,” Alia said as quoted by Film Companion.

The 30-year-old actress further talked about Jigra and opened up about its plot. She revealed that the film is a story of ‘courage, passion and determination’. “Just a little over a year later, we are ready to launch our second production – Jigra, a beautiful story of courage, passion and determination. I hope to consistently support compelling narratives that are authentic, and enduringly timeless and work with brilliant creative minds to bring them alive,” Alia added.

Jigra is directed by Vasan Bala and is produced by Karan Johar. Sharing the video on his Instagram handle, KJo had written, “The return of…my #Jigra, @aliaabhatt once again on this exceptional story helmed by @vasanbala.
