Alia Bhatt Reveals Her Plans To Start A Music Career: 'With A Little Help In The Recording Studio...'
Alia Bhatt spoke to Kareena Kapoor Khan about her musical ambitions while promoting Jigra.

Besides acting, Alia Bhatt has also often showcased her musical talent in films like Jigra among others. Alia Bhatt showcased her musical talent by singing a rendition of Samjhawan in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya. She then sang Diljit Dosanjh’s Ik Kudi for Udta Punjab. However, Kareena Kapoor is not convinced of her musical prowess and asked the actress if she plans on releasing her own single.

Alia Bhatt recently appeared on Kareena’s show, What Women Want and was asked, “What is this? You’re not going to pursue a singing career? I don’t know if your voice is that good. I’m just asking.” This left both actresses in splits. Alia said that she has no plans of becoming a singer.

She said, “No, not at all. Vedang can sing and he actually plays so he can cut an album. I can sing in my bathroom and then with a little bit of help of some individuals in the recording studio.” Kareena asked, “So, you’re not going to cut a single?” Alia replied, “Once upon a time I had some plan but that’s it. It ended there only.”

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina’s Jigra is finally out in theatres and has been receiving mixed reviews from viewers and critics alike. News18 Showsha gave the film 4.5/5 stars. Our review reads, “Even at 2 hours 35 minutes, Jigra makes for an exhilarating ride. It rarely drops pace and keeps you engaged throughout the narrative. The final jailbreak sequence in the second half will push you toward the edge of your seat and leave you biting your nails. You’ll find yourself wishing and hoping and your heart beating for a bloody and bruised Satya to win against the whole world against all odds.”

“Despite being a narrative high on drama, Jigra never once felt theatrical. And the credit for the same goes to both the director and his actors. And while it may remind you of Sanjay Dutt and Sridevi’s Gumrah, Jigra serves as a perfect palate cleanser and gives hope that Bollywood’s good times aren’t over yet. Jigra is audacious, trailblazing, sugar, spice, and everything nice and is a must-watch. Don’t miss this one,” the review also mentions.
