South star Ajith Kumar is currently shooting for his much-anticipated upcoming film, Vidaamuyarchi. Reports have emerged several times in the public domain that this film has been shelved by the makers. Now, Ajith Kumar’s manager and spokesperson Suresh Chandra has rubbished these rumours by tweeting some videos from Vidaamuyarchi’s shooting, which were done in November 2023. One of the videos shows Ajith Kumar driving a car at high speed, with a person tied on the other seat. The 52-year-old actor continues to drive the car till an accident happens; then the car wrecks badly. The other videos show the shooting of this scene from different angles. With these clips, Ajith Kumar’s manager Suresh has confirmed that the shooting for Vidaamuyarchi is still on and the rumours of the film being shelved are baseless. Magizh Thirumeni has written and directed Vidaamuyarchi.

Besides these videos shared by Ajith Kumar’s manager, the buzz for Vidaamuyarchi has also increased after the plot of the film was reportedly leaked. As per reports, Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan are said to be playing a married couple who go for a trip together. During their trip, Trisha’s character goes missing and the male lead looks for him everywhere. The villain in the film, whose character details have still been kept under wraps, tries to create more obstacles for the leads.
Vidaamuyarchi is touted to be a fast-paced action thriller and is backed by Lyca Productions. After the shoot for the film was finished in Turkey in October 2023, the crew jetted off to Azerbaijan for the next part of the shooting. The movie is slated for release in late April or May and also stars Arun Vijay and Arjun Sarja.
Amidst these professional commitments, Ajith Kumar was admitted to a hospital some time back. Speaking with the entertainment portal Zoom, Suresh addressed the rumours of Ajith Kumar suffering from a cyst in his brain, “On Thursday, Ajith sir got admitted to the hospital for a general examination. There was undue swelling in the nerve connecting his ear to the brain. Doctors got rid of it now with a simple medical procedure. Ajith is fine, he walked from the ward to the ICU,” he shared.
