Hanuman Jayanti marks the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman, a devout follower of Lord Rama and one of the principal figures in the Hindu epic Ramayana. As a result, Lord Hanuman’s birth date is associated with Lord Ram’s era. According to Drik Panchang, Lord Hanuman was born just after sunrise on Mangalwar (Tuesday) during Chaitra Purnima. He was born in Mesha Lagna and Chitra Nakshatra.

Hanuman Jayanti 2024: Puja Vidhi
Lord Hanuman’s puja begins with washing one’s hands, then taking fresh water and flowers in the right hand and reading the Sankalpa Mantra. After performing the Avahan Mudra, devotees meditate in front of Lord Hanuman’s idol. The seat is then dedicated to Lord Hanuman, and the idol’s feet are washed with water. The idol of Lord Hanuman is washed with milk, curd, honey, ghee, and sugar. It is then offered clothes, perfume, unbroken rice, and flowers. After that, the puja is complete.
