What can be better than indulging in ayurvedic remedies, which can not only help your symptoms but are also easily accessible in every Indian household?

Sharing a recipe for a concoction, Ayurvedic practitioner, Dr. Dixa Bhavsar revealed that it helped her husband get relief from throat pain and nasal congestion. Dropping a picture of the concoction, Dr. Dixa wrote in the caption, “Prepared this concoction for my husband as he had some throat pain and tad bit nasal congestion. He doesn’t have a cold/runny nose or cough yet. So just to prevent it- he started this concoction.” She revealed that “it is super versatile” and can be consumed in three forms. “Now what’s the speciality of this ayurvedic concoction? Well, it’s super versatile- You can use it in 3 ways: for steam inhalation, for drinking & for Gargling,” she added.

Calling it a “magical ayurvedic concoction,” the expert informed possible ways to get quick relief if from “severe cough/cold/breathlessness”. She added, “So if any of you or your loved one caught cold/cough/sneezing, etc. due to travelling, sipping on cold drinks or eating excessive ice creams, try this concoction & I promise- it won’t disappoint you.”

Here’s the recipe and ingredients needed to make the concoction.

Ingredients

  • 2 glasses of water
  • A handful of Mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Carom seeds
  • ½ tablespoon Ajwain or fenugreek seeds
  • ½ tablespoon Haldi or turmeric

Method

  • Add all the ingredients to two glasses of water
  • Boil it for around 7 to 10 minutes on a medium flame
  • Once the water changes its colour that means the concoction is ready. Serve it hot
  • Drink the concoction on an empty stomach or one hour later to consume food
  • You can do the steam inhalation
  • Moreover, you can gargle thrice a day with it
