Need a quick break from a busy workday? Planning to stop in for a bite after a busy evening at office? Interested in going out for a meal at a "sit-down" restaurant which is about both fun and healthy eating?
Pita Pit (in Greater Kailash), Canadian quick service chain's flagship outlet, is 'the' option for you. For it makes eating healthy vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals convenient and within one's means.
Décor: Those who visit the restaurant for the first time will gasp in wonderment. The color scheme of brown, green, and yellow goes well with the restaurant's theme 'Fresh Thinking Healthy Eating'. The décor of the restaurant, which adheres to a new cafe style format, features formal and informal seating, wooden flooring, indoor plants and lamps, all to give it an easy feeling that every visitor expects. A whole wall has been dedicated to a huge plasma screen, and it has been done right.
Food: But what really makes the experience of coming to this restaurant memorable is its food. Wrapped in fresh pita bread, Falafel comes with Hummus spread, stuffed with vegetables like tomatoes, MG, coriander, sprouts and black olives that have been chosen according to one's taste and preference. It tastes amazing with vinaigrette and Caesar dressing.
For Basil Potato Pita, Babaghanoush spread is used along with the filling of tomatoes, MG, mint, black olives, gherkins and jalapenos. The taste? It isn't bland. So yes it is an excellent choice if you want to have something healthy to satiate a big hunger.
If you want to order Pita Pit Paneer, make sure you start with just one order. For it is a tad heavy making it enough for at least two. Those looking for non-veg options consider Chicken Caesar, Chicken Breast, Chicken Club and Chicken Crave. You can end the experience on a sweet note by opting for Apple & Walnut cake.
Service: The staff is earnest, attentive to visitors' needs.
Our opinion: If it is about healthy food, nothing can be pitted against it.
