Chef Massimo Bottura, who holds three Michelin stars for his Modena restaurant Osteria Francescana, has been enlisted to bring his star power to another powerful Italian luxury brand, Gucci.

Set to open in early January inside the historic Palazzo della Mercanzia, Gucci Garden will house a boutique with one-of-a-kind items and exhibition rooms curated by critic Maria Luisa Frisa, who has also worked with Diana Vreeland and Raf Simons.

The overall space is being overseen by Gucci's creative director Alessandro Michele.

After perusing the exhibits and making their big-ticket purchases, visitors can rest their stiletto-heeled feet at Bottura's dining space.

Details on the restaurant itself are sparse for now.

Along with triple Michelin stars, Bottura's Osteria Francescana also topped the influential World's 50 Best restaurants list in 2016 and is currently ranked second in the world.

The partnership with Gucci marks a stark departure from the soup kitchens he runs through his non-profit group Food for Soul, which turns edible, surplus food waste from local grocery stores into meals for the homeless. The soup kitchens are present in cities like London, Milan, Modena, Bologna and Rio de Janeiro.

Gucci Garden opens Jan. 10, 2018.
