The K-pop scene is about to be shaken up once again as BABYMONSTER, the latest sensation from YG Entertainment, announces the release of their debut mini-album, BABYMONS7ER. This highly anticipated album is set to showcase the talents of the seven-member girl group in a whole new light.

The name of the album itself is a clever play on words, with the ‘T’ in BABYMONSTER replaced by a ‘7’ to represent the seven members of the group.

The girl band took to their social media pages on February 28, 2024, to drop a bombshell announcement. The announcement came with a teaser, giving fans a sneak peek at one of the songs that will be featured on the album. To top it all off, the premiere date was revealed at the end of the teaser for April 1, 2024, at midnight KST, when the album will be available to stream.

Alongside the album release, the group has big plans to drop a music video for the title track. Fans can also look forward to a pre-release single. BABYMONSTER has also announced an exclusive online fan signing event, available only to those who purchase the album. Details about this exciting event can be found on the group’s Weverse page.

BABYMONSTER burst onto the K-pop scene in 2023 and is managed by YG Entertainment. Comprising seven members—Ruka, Asa, Pharita, Ahyeon, Rora, Rami, and Chiquita—the group captured hearts with their debut digital single, BATTER UP, and its electrifying music video.

Despite their early success, BABYMONSTER faced a setback as member Ahyeon was unable to participate in group activities due to health reasons. However, fans will be delighted to hear that she is set to make a triumphant return with the group’s first mini-album.

Currently promoting as a six-member group, BABYMONSTER has continued to impress audiences with their unique sound and captivating performances. Their second single, Stuck In The Middle, released on February 1, 2024, showcased a different side of the group with its soft melody.

The group has garnered a dedicated following, with over 4.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify and over 200 million views on YouTube for BATTER UP.
