KOCHI: A group of four youngsters of ‘White Sugar’ band performed on the campus of St Albert’s Higher Secondary School on Tuesday, highlighting the pathetic state of roads in the city. ‘White Sugar’ has performed live in many places in the state, but it is for the first time any band has come out with such a strong message. “Usually we perform with heavy lights, but this time there was nothing of that sort. Only screaming music with a purpose,” band manager Sreekanth Suresh Kamath said.The concept ‘Meeshayulla Appane Pediyullu’ appealed to the youngsters. The other compositions, included a song in Malayalam about farmer suicides and the trauma of the families.The songs also carried patriotic flavour.The five-year-old band consists of drummer Gilbert Xavier, vocalist James Jude Peter, guitarist Clement Samson and Bassist Nijo Sebastian.
