The deceased was wanted in eight to nine murder cases.
Noida: A man, wanted in a number of cases of murder and carrying a reward of Rs 20,000 on his head, was killed in an encounter with the police on Noida Expressway late on Wednesday night.
SP(City) Ashok Kumar Tripathi said two men riding a motorcycle attempted a robbery of a car. On being chased by police, they opened fire drawing retaliation from the men in uniform, triggering the encounter.
One of the duo was shot dead at Sector 98 area on the Expressway while other managed to escape.
The deceased was was identified as Kalu who was wanted in eight to nine murder cases and was carrying a reward of Rs 20,000.
