MYSORE: Mysore Dasara Committee this year is involving city-based engineering students and software professionals to develop the Dasara website.The team has been given the task and details will be out soon.At least 100 pictures will be updated on the Facebook pages of Mysore Palace and Dasara, which are linked.Mysore Dasara Committee is calling for volunteers from the IT field for ‘Mysore Dasara IT team’ for the creation of the Dasara website.The slogan of the team is ‘Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress and working together is success’.The website will have a search engine submission, e-mail alerts on Mysore Dasara, e-ticket booking, online payment for gold and regular Dasara Cards, livevideo streaming of Mysore Dasara programmes, an animated flash video with city traffic details.The website www.mysoredasara.gov.in will be launched in next week by District Minister S A Ramadas.As a first, live Dasara chat will be operated by the Dasara Helpline 2418888.The old and the current Dasara websites will be linked to YouTube.For this, Mysore Dasara team will provide black and white videos of Dasara held during Jayachamarajendra Wadiyar’s time, along with commentary.
