Vibrant vision of a visually challenged officer

TUMKUR: While allegations of lethargy surround the government officials, here is a visually challenged gazetted officer, the only disabled person serving in state administration, who strives to work honestly.
M Muddappa, the 31 year old Gubbi taluk Child Development Programme Officer (CDPO) has managed to stop many a child marriages and save the minor girls of economically poor families being married off to old bridegrooms. Stopping child marriages altogether takes larger part of his vision.According to the people, the enthusiastic officer never ignores the calls of the needy and tip offs on child marriages.
