Uttar Pradesh: Drunk youths tear police official's uniform, arrested
The two were arrested last night after information was received that two drunken youths were misbehaving with shopkeepers and customers in Sector-2 market of Vasundhara, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Atul Yadav.

Ghaziabad: Two inebriated youths were arrested for allegedly creating ruckus at Indirapuram police station and tearing police officials' uniform, police said today.

The two were arrested last night after information was received that two drunken youths were misbehaving with shopkeepers and customers in Sector-2 market of Vasundhara, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Atul Yadav.

Police rushed to the spot and brought Gaurav and Aman to the police station where the duo created a ruckus, manhandled the police staff, tore their badges and also damaged the FIR register, the DSP said.

The two were referred to the government hospital for their medical examination, Yadav said. Later, an FIR under IPC sections 332 (voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 333 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt to deter public servant from his duty), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) was registered against them on complaint of Sub Inspector Rajiv Baliyan and Constable Lakhanvir.

The duo has been sent to jail, the DSP said.
