UP: 5 men allegedly molest an athlete, try to run over her

Saharanpur: An 18-year-old national level sprinter was seriously injured after she was allegedly molested by in a car by five men who later tried to run over her. Police said two of the accused have been arrested while three others are absconding.

The incident took place on early Wednesday morning when five men in a car allegedly tried to molest the girl, who was practicing with her fellow athletes, police said. When her companions protested the misbehavior of the youths, the accused tried to run over the girl, due to which she was seriously injured, they added.

The girl was admitted in a city hospital, police said.
