An undertrial extremist of Seraikela Jail in adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district died of prolonged illness at the MGM hospital, police said on Monday.

An undertrial extremist of Seraikela Jail in adjoining Seraikela-Kharswan district died of prolonged illness at the MGM hospital, police said on Monday.

Mahabir Singh Sardar, who was jailed for his alleged involvement in a Naxal incident and murder since 2008, was suffering from cancer and breathed his last in the hospital last night, Seraikela Jail superintendent Ajay Kumar Tirkey said.
